Take me from the bitter light
Place me in the dark folds of somber sleep
Where I can smile next to the sweet night
Outshine the brightest constellations
While the wind picks at my hair
In the blue light I dance, dream and sing aloud
Let me taste no real sleep
Let me dream as never before
Dreams alight with the colors of forgotten realms and times

In timeless space I remembered you
Your faultless eyes and face
The sky tinged in crimson
The dawn never really breaks
Atop the northernmost wing
I chased my oldest dream
Chanting as I climbed silently
For my resolve to not challenge me
This as all nights frozen
My song is wordlessly incessant
But my thoughts carry a bittersweet cry
Lord of no time
See me please by your side
Longing for a simple word
Part your lips and speak at once
My heart has faltered, my voice is gone
Only thoughts keep me alive
Bring me back from such moments
Give me air and heartbeat
Forget the restlessness of sadness
Let me guard your

I loomed my head and saw you standing there
So frail, beautiful and small
Helpless looking through a window
Your curiosity aroused my a bauble inside
You picked it up with fear it'd break
The one small thing in the entire place
That sent your heart racing near to a stop
A small artifact that I could not see
I approached oh so silently
I got closer still until I saw where your fascination lay
And nearly set my mind a stray
With my courage sapped, my resolution crushed
I went back and sat where I was standing before
Looking from left to right trying to keep out of sight
Lost in my thoughts I never saw you coming near
